Rhiannon Mulhearn, Beyond The Medal Ambassador, Gold Coast, Queensland

My name is Rhiannon Mulhearn.
I’ve always been interested in running but like everything else, life got in the way.

"After the birth of my daughter Ruby in 2011 I struggled to run even a few kilometres."Gold Coast Beyond The Medal Ambassador

I finally had enough so in 2014, I joined Get Raw Bootcamps and my fitness improved and passion for running returned. I started back running with a 10km race, then a half, then a 30km.

Throughout 2015, I battled numerous injuries but continued to push on and complete my first full marathon in July 2015.

My most memorable race was completing my first Ultra Trail marathon in September 2015, Coastal High 50. The hardest but also most rewarding!

I train when I can with RK Pod, and I’m also a proud member of Running Mums Australia and Trail Chix.

My biggest inspirations are Ruby and my running buddy Addy. I dedicate all my runs to Addy, who has dup15q syndrome and severe autism and cannot run #irun4addy.

My #1 goal is to be the best role model for Ruby
